The Noah Foundation

Madagascar – a mysterious island of amazing scenery, unique wildlife and multi-cultural people. Perhaps lesser known, is that fact that the country is one of the poorest in the world.

The Noah Foundation uses the principles of social business to support the Malagasy people in finding their own path to sustainable living. We also promote Madagascar within Europe, encouraging people and companies to get involved in the real life Treasure Island.

Due to the recent political instability in Madagascar, the plight of the poor in the capital city of Antananarivo has become more desperate. Many businesses are still closed, prices of consumables such as food and fuel have soared and unemployment rates are high.

Although the major international aid organisations are withdrawing from operations on the island, we at the Noah Foundation believe that our support is needed now more than ever.  For this reason, we are continuing with all social projects in operation and we are also strengthening ties with other NGOs that are still operational in the region.
